Mr. Desper has served as lead counsel and co-lead counsel in national employment class action cases. The Firm helped to successfully litigate a nationwide sex discrimination case against a major defense contractor, which led to fundamental reforms to the company's employment policies.  Mr. Desper has an impressive record in employment law cases. Successful high-profile national class action cases that Mr. Desper has participated in include: (1). Beck v. Boeing, (2). Williams v. Boeing, (3). Erickson v. Bartell Drugs.

Employment Investigations

Employment investigations are an effective tool for employers to avoid costly litigation. The Firm conducts employment investigations for employers, and The Firm has extensive experience in investigating all employment matters. Mr. Desper is a former EEO investigator with the Seattle Human Rights Department. In that capacity, he conducted hundreds of employment investigations for the department, wrote findings of fact, and conducted settlement conferences. In addition, in July of 2009, he completed a 32 hour Federal EEO Investigation Course and became certified as a Federal EEO Investigator.

Mr. Desper has been a litigator for more than 23 years. He has had jury and non-jury trials in State and Federal Courts in Washington and other jurisdictions. He has successfully resolved hundreds of cases through settlement, mediation and arbitration.  Some of the most notable cases include: (1). John Doe v. State of Washington and OK Boys Ranch, (2). Leon Hendrix v. Experience Hendrix, (3). Farhad Ahmed v. Texaco, (4). Julia Johnson v. City of Seattle, (5). Junius Wilson v. State of North Carolina.
